Translated by Ely and published by Sydney University Press in June 2019, this historically significant old novel is Ely’s largest translation to date. It was produced in collaboration with historians Dr. Michael Williams and Dr. Mei-fen Kuo, both of whom contributed to its front matter, and supported by historian and curator Dr. Sophie Couchman and the late Tsebin Tchen, among others.
